A small porcelain cup thrown off the hump. Part of my series of OK cups and jars. The series is a light homage to one of my first loves in pottery; Koie Ryoji. He was a potter who was free from the shackles of preconceptions and judgements. Not always fine, but always free. These cups had a divot scooped from their base immediately off the wheel. They have been glazed with no further turning or alterations. The apple tree ash glaze comes from my garden and is used without washing or any of that laborious stuff.
Gas kiln.
