A small porcelain cup thrown off the hump. Part of my series of OK cups and jars. The series is a light homage to one of my first loves in pottery; Koie Ryoji. He was a potter who was free from the shackles of preconceptions and judgements. Not always fine, but always free. These cups had a divot scooped from their base immediately off the wheel. They have been glazed with no further turning or alterations. Celadon glaze.
Gas kiln.
